Otter hiking trail
The Otter Trail is officially the oldest and most iconic hiking trail in South Africa. Opened in 1968 and named after the shy Cape Clawless Otter that inhabits the estuaries and streams of this region. The 50-kilometer trail runs along the spectacular coastline between the Storms River mouth and Nature’s Valley. A path that weaves through rich forests, wide rivers, sandy beaches, and rocky cliffs with immense flora and fauna varietals. Beautiful in all seasons, The Otter Trail is continuously ranked one of the most stunning multi-day trails in the world.
